We lost Ricky this morning.

Surrounded and held by his mother, step mother and myself, Ricky Hoffman passed away in peace at 9:40 this morning at his mother's house.

Arrangements are still being made and will be published here when confirmed, but plans are for a wake Tuesday November 10th from 4 to 8 PM, and the service at 1 Pm Wednesday, the 11th. We're planning a celebration of life for Ricky at 3 Pm. Everything is being held in Scituate, MA.

I'll write more at a later date..........

Thank you for all those prayers and good thoughts, they do help.

Bill

Ricky was the light of our lives. He was here for too short a time but he loved a life time's worth and brought so much love and laughter to so many.

Thank you Bill for keeping us all informed with this blog these many months. Our condolences to you, Dierdre, Stephen and your family. Love, Susan and George

My lil prophet! I will forever be grateful for the gift of time I was given for Ricky to share his life and love with me. He has taught me more in the last 4.5 years than most people could ever teach in their lifetime. I will carry Ricky in my heart for all of my days. I pray in this painful time you can find a place of peace.

Bill,

My heart just sank.

Hopefully he went with a smile in his heart and took with him all the love and caring he got.

Dear Bill,

JR and I, and our son Michael, have been saying so many prayers for Ricky. Being Catholic, we often pray for him in Church, during rosaries and during our dinner-time grace. We have also prayed extensively for you and for Pat, that you have the strength to get through this horrible, painful loss. We have reflected over the last several weeks how blessed Ricky was to have you and Pat as parents for the last 11 years (almost 12) and we will continue to pray for Ricky in heaven and for you that you can bear this terrible grief. We loved the moments we shared with Ricky and will always remember his wonderful personality.
Love, Carolyn, JR and Michael Ricciardi

When I was told of the loss of Ricky, tears began to flow. Then I could hear his voice say, "Hi Mrs. Ruiter. You got any erasers." I began to smile. What an amazing gift Ricky has given to all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with those of you who worked so closely with Ricky at Wampatuck. May peace come to his caring and devoted family through God's blessings.

Bill, we heard about Ricky last night and all of the CORSE Board is so saddened and thinking of what we can do for Pat and yourself and Deirdre. I will send out a CORSE community email, since we all have had Ricky and your family in our thoughts. We loved watching Ricky at all of the programs, it gave us such happiness to see him enjoying himself so much.

Please let me know if there is anything our foundation can do for your family.

Our thoughts are continually with you,

Tracy Johnston on behalf of CORSE

I am very sorry for your loss.

I met Ricky last month when I did some photos of him for Pat, and even with his limited ability to speak at that point, he was delightful.

I got several "two thumbs up" from him and even a smile.

It breaks my heart to know what his family and friends are going through. We will continue to pray for all of you at Christ Lutheran Church.

May Almighty God comfort you in this most difficult time.
